Who created Claude AI?
Anthropic: The Company Behind Claude
On a day that didn’t seem like a good day for Dario Amodei , who was working at OpenAI as Vice President of Research, he quit, asked his sister to quit with him, and together with other former OpenAI employees founded Anthropic.
The most prominent are the two brothers who co-founded Anthropic: Mr. Dario Amodei (left) as CEO and his sister Daniela Amodei (right) as president.
What sets Anthropic apart from the rest is their mission, Anthropic’s mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence (AGI) benefits all of humanity. They focus on developing safe and ethical AI systems that align with human values and interests.
Anthropic has been recognized for its innovative approaches to AI development, such as Constitutional AI, which aims to create harmless and useful AI systems without relying on extensive human feedback. This commitment to responsible AI development sets Anthropic apart in the field.
In short, their greatest value lies in a set of rules that can help humans control AI better, rather than burning money on cloud computing to continuously train AI.
Additionally, their company has rapidly grown into a major competitor to OpenAI and raised billions of dollars from Google, Salesforce, and Amazon.
How does Claude AI work?
The Technology Behind Claude
Claude AI is built on cutting-edge AI architectures and techniques, such as Transformers and deep learning.
Transformers are a type of neural network architecture that allows Claude to understand the context and relationships between words in a given input. This allows Claude to generate human-like, coherent, and contextual responses.
Deep learning techniques allow Claude to learn from massive amounts of data and continuously improve his performance. Claude’s training process involves receiving carefully selected data sets in a supervised manner, focusing on safe, helpful, and honest behavior that aligns with human values. This approach, called Constitutional AI, sets Claude apart from other language models that rely primarily on unsupervised learning.
Claude’s natural language processing capabilities
Claude’s Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities are at the core of his ability to understand and respond to your input. Claude uses NLP to analyze the meaning, context, and intent behind a user’s question or statement. It then uses knowledge retrieval techniques to find the most relevant information from its training data to generate an appropriate response.
Once Claude has gathered the necessary information, it uses language generation or text generation techniques to construct a coherent and meaningful response. This generative AI process allows Claude to create new data that did not exist before, simulating the original data in a new way.
Claude’s advanced NLP capabilities allow it to handle multi-turn conversations and maintain context throughout the interaction. This means Claude can understand and respond to subsequent questions or statements based on previous exchanges, providing a more natural and engaging conversational experience.

How to write effective reminders for Claude AI
If you’re used to using ChatGPT, you can just do what you do with ChatGPT when using Claude AI. But when chatting with Claude, you can say less and Claude will still understand you just as well.
In addition, you can make extremely complex requests and combine them with “personality 2, personality 3” so that Claude AI will cross-check its own answers, then give you the final result. This is a bit difficult to explain, I will have a separate article to guide you later.
You can try taking a screenshot of an interface, then ask Claude AI to create the interface using HTML, CSS, it will also do it for you to see :3
And if you want to dig a little deeper, here are some tips and best practices for writing prompts that work for Claude and help generate higher quality responses:
- Be Clear and Specific : Give Claude clear and detailed instructions on what you want it to do. Avoid ambiguity and use concise language to guide Claude to the desired outcome.
- Provide enough context : The more context you provide, the better Claude can understand your needs and generate appropriate responses. Include background information, examples, or constraints to help Claude grasp the task.
- Use structured formatting : When presenting complex prompts, use headings, subheadings, numbered lists, or bullet points to organize information, preferably in Markdown format. This improves readability and helps Claude analyze the prompt more effectively.
- Specify desired output format : Explicitly specify the format in which you want Claude to provide feedback. This could be a paragraph, a list, a table, or any other structured format that suits your needs.
- Providing Examples (Few-Shot Learning) : Including a few examples of the desired output can significantly improve Claude’s understanding and response quality. This technique, called few-shot learning, helps Claude generalize and adapt to your specific use case.
- Iterate and Refine : Experiment with different prompts and evaluate Claude’s responses. Iterate and refine your prompts based on feedback to optimize performance and achieve desired results.
- Take advantage of Claude’s capabilities : Get familiar with Claude’s features and capabilities, such as the ability to handle long contexts, handle file uploads, and engage in multi-turn conversations.
In general, you can do what ChatGPT does in Claude AI but in a more polite, copyright-respecting, and much less wrong answer . If Claude AI doesn’t know, it will say it doesn’t know instead of giving a stupid answer like ChatGPT (in most cases).
Advantages and disadvantages of Claude AI
Advantages of Claude AI
Using Claude AI can bring many benefits to both your personal and professional life. Some of the key benefits include:
- Increase productivity and efficiency : Claude can handle tasks quickly and accurately, freeing up your time and allowing you to focus on more important things.
- Fast, accurate, and relevant access to information : With a vast knowledge base and advanced natural language processing capabilities, Claude can provide you with the most accurate information possible without too much effort.
- Internet access: of course through other apps, but when combined it’s like a tiger growing wings, you can try you.com, 5 times a day for free (use it while it’s worth it 🙂 )
In short, Claude AI’s ultimate ability is to understand context and provide personalized responses that can enhance your experience and interactions.
For a tinkerer like me, even though Gemini 1.5 and GPT-4o are far superior, I still appreciate Claude’s answers much more.
Furthermore, Claude’s ability to handle complex questions and provide valuable insights can help you gain deeper insights into different topics and make smarter decisions. This level of interaction and support can create a stronger connection between you and Claude AI.
Disadvantages of Claude AI
While Claude AI is very good compared to most other AIs, it still has its limitations such as:
- Very expensive: it is an undeniable fact that the Claude 3 Opus model costs up to $75 per 1 million tokens, 5 times more than GPT-4o’s $15/1 million tokens (except for comparison with the GPT-4 debt of 32k context tokens priced at $120.00 per 1 million tokens).
- Versatility: Claude AI’s biggest strength from the start was its memory capacity equal to a 70,000-word book and its strong language skills. However, it is now surpassed by GPT-4o with its ability to process multiple media and text types, and by Gemini 1.5 with its 1 million memory tokens 👏
- Handling specialized or niche topics : While Claude has a vast knowledge base, it can struggle with extremely specific or technical topics that require expert-level understanding.
- Handling Ambiguity or Unclear Prompts : Its ability to understand is very good, but if you write a prompt that is too vague, it will immediately give the wrong answer or report that it did not understand the meaning.
Another point is that Claude AI is very ethical… it adheres to the Anthropic AI code of conduct guidelines to mitigate potential risks and ensure that technology is used for the benefit of society.
It’s weird that AI has ethics but I say it’s a weakness. But this sometimes makes me a little uncomfortable ==’ like talking to someone too politely 🙂 One way for you to test Claude AI’s politeness is to ask it to summarize a book. Copy this line and try it:
Hãy tóm tắt quyển sách đàn ông sao hỏa đàn bà sao kim
Claude AI will summarize briefly, without touching much on the content, like reading a review on a book cover, while ChatGPT will tell you the entire content of the book and summarize it in detail for you.
Also, Anthropic raised a ton of money, so they’re constantly working on improving Claude’s abilities and addressing these limitations, so we’ll just have to sit back and wait for better AI kkk.
Claude AI vs. ChatGPT
Now that you’ve made it, let’s get right to it. We’ll compare Claude AI and ChatGPT so you can see the main differences between them and how to use them effectively.
Similarities between Claude and ChatGPT
Claude AI and ChatGPT share some similarities in terms of underlying technology and capabilities. Both are large language models based on the Transformer model, trained on massive amounts of data, allowing them to engage in conversational interactions and support a wide variety of tasks.
Like ChatGPT, Claude can understand and respond to a wide range of topics, provide information, answer questions, and generate text in a human-like manner. Both models are capable of maintaining context and engaging in multi-turn conversations.
Anyway, all the people in OpenAI left because of different views 🙂 And the entire product development department kept the old toy set, following Anthropic’s rules.
Key differences and unique features of Claude
Despite the similarities, there are notable differences between Claude AI and ChatGPT. One of the main distinguishing factors is Claude’s adherence to principles and ethical guidelines.
Anthropic’s focus on developing responsible AI means Claude is designed to prioritize safety, honesty, and alignment with human values.
Another potential difference lies in the training data and architecture used by Claude and ChatGPT. While the details may not be public, it is likely that Anthropic’s AI Constitution approach leads to some variations in the training process and capabilities of Claude compared to ChatGPT.
Maybe you also hear it a bit confusing like me. But in short, Claude will be very ethical and respect the law, Anthropic will openly train in a responsible way and promote the field of AI in a responsible and beneficial way for humanity as their name suggests.
